Hunting for Balance

Hunting for Balance revisions hunting as conservation. By juxtaposing the sport with mass farming, it seeks to reevaluate what constitutes as humane acquirement of animal products and meat. This collection is inspired by Michael Pollan’s Omnivore’s Dilemma (2006), which exposes the horrifying practices of the industrial agricultural system as well as my own personal passion for hunting. For me, hunting is about preservation, never taking too much and consuming every part of the animal. Fashion should follow the same protocol. It must utilize all aspects of the animal and subject itself to the elements. No more alligator farms. You get what you get. Animals should not be bred for slaughter. They should be consumed only through fair fight. Hunting for Balance is about preserving the natural balance specie and reconsidering the ethics of obtaining animal products.
